You just need to google search and follow other links to find those niche places, but they are worth it. I've found them for flooring, roofing and several appliances. Shop the web for small items, I saved nearly 40% on average through the web vs the box stores on things like lighting, plumbing fixtures, towel bars, etc.. (always include ebay in those hunts). When you do go to a box store, group your purchases in large quantities and use a 10% off coupon (you can buy them on ebay too).

I'm just finishing a bathroom remodel and saved nearly $2,000 by shopping that way.
