I have some hearing loss. I personally consider ANC one of the best tools to remove stress in my life and enhances my ability to hear and understand audio like ebooks and podcasts - and some music frequencies I’d lost.

I see people wearing in airports. I wouldn’t for fear of on and off a plane missing an important alert/message.

many ANC sets have a transparency mode so that you clearly hear your surroundings. i turn it on when i walk my dog. my neighborhood has no sidewalk and i need to hear cars approaching.

Yes, exactly. The quality and ease of use of Transparency Mode is one aspect that separates good ANC from average hearables.

Agreed, transparency needed. I've got a ideaplay v207 which works really well. It also has a mini line in jack for connecting to non bluetooth sources which as turned out to be a lifesaver a couple of times.
