Any Tips on a POS device for retail and service?

We're trying to get a POS system in a business right now ...

We are not up on this stuff.

We're evaluating Bluefin, authorize.net and others but we are basically clueless. Bluefin is trying to sell is on a PAX A80

We need to be able to sell tickets, t-shirts and gift cards we produce. We also have an increasingly older helpforce who have trouble looking at tiny screens.

Suggestions welcome.

"The PAX A80 is SmartDesktop payment terminal powered by the Android operating system. The A80 is a PCI P2PE device and is integrated with Blue n’s PayConex® payment gateway, providing our merchants and partners a seamless processing option backed by the highest level of security with our PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solution.

I'd give Square a look. I setup a buddy with an iPad + credit card scanner + printer a few years back. It's been rock solid for his landscaping business.

For the physical products and services i'd highly recommend Square. been using them for years.

not quite sure if they are well-suited for tickets. for that i've found that Brown Paper Tickets work really well.

Square supports a lot of payment methods, including Apple and Google Pay as well as contactless cards. Something that you may want to consider.

Another vote for Square...far cheaper to get going...more options. There's a reason you see Square in use all over the place.
