Ripped MP3s from a favorite old CD using iTunes on old laptop - won't upload to Cloud Library

...in Apple Music.

I've tried logging out of Apple Music (nee the new iTunes) and back in on my current computer.
I've tried reauthorizing the computer.
I've tried updating Genius.
Song size is about 8 MP each, encoded at I think 320 kbps.

Any idea?

The CD is out of distribution and not for sale on Apple Music.

Can you "burn" the music (USB stick / CD / DVD) and then re-rip to the new location?

Could there be a corruption issue. Try converting them for Apple Lossless and see if those upload.

File->Convert->Create Apple Lossless Version.

You might have to change your settings Import Settings to Apple Lossless.

I've had this happen going back many years ago with a few obscure, commercially sold compilations CDs. For some reason, Apple servers sometimes don't recognize these CDs or their music. I never found a solution other than trying to call Apple and have them give me iTunes credits for songs that would not upload, and/or buying some of my favorite tunes (Melt w/ You by Modern English was one that was on an '80s compilation CD) from iTunes back before I had an Amazon Music sub.

I'd start by trying to call Apple to see if they will give you some iTunes credits so you can have them in your Cloud. I'd also be interested to learn if any of the previous ideas (lossless, etc) worked.

Thanks! How would iTunes credits help if the album isn't available on Apple Music?

Inexplicably, after four or five days they uploaded. Yay.
