Actually, Uranus just happens to be between Mars and Aldebaran (the eye of Taurus the Bull), just a few degrees apart. Of course you need a pretty good telescope to see it...

Hopefully the weather will cooperate here. And Saturn and Jupiter are pretty close together now. As soon as I get a clear night I'm going to get the SX60 out. We actually had a thundershower today!

I actually used my SX50 earlier this month to get an amazing shot of the moon... no binoculars or telescope required! (I can post, if desired...)

I think it was the Full Beaver Moon <snicker>, or maybe the Full Cold Moon... it just seemed extraordinarily large and bright, and it's very uncommon for us to have a totally clear, cold night as we did then...
