I wanna play STAR WARS: Squadrons on my Mac....

I've been doing some research into running STAR WARS: Squadrons on a Mac but still haven't figured it out. I believe I need to run it using STEAM which I have installed but I'm not sure about the rest - meaning, do I need a Bootcamp partition, etc?? I need the easiest way if that's even possible?

Thanks

Jerry

Nothing in the Steam store page says anything about a native Mac OS X version. I didn't realize you could buy and download a PC game while logged into Steam on a Mac. Are you running some sort of Windows emulator or virtual machine, and what's the hardware?

Check System Requirements.

You need a BootCamp partition with Windows installed and then you'll be able to run it from there. But only if your Mac has the necessary Graphics Card in it. Whatcha got?

Not a chance. Not with BootCamp, not with Parallels, not with that mini. Buy a PC with a decent graphics card.

Yeah that’s what I figured. I’m saving up for a gaming desktop PC

If you're willing to do some reading to figure it out... I think CrossOver is still the name of the game for Windows games on Mac.

I just played it with my Oculus Rift S and it was crazy! I turned around in my x-wing and saw my R2 unit. The depth and realism in VR is amazing. HOWEVER, I get somewhat nauseous playing it...so not sure how much I will be using the Rift....
