......it is not a new product......

CBS This Morning: Apple to Make 'Big Announcement' Tomorrow Morning

.....CBS This Morning today shared a short clip of an upcoming interview with Apple CEO Tim Cook in which addressing last week's events at the U.S. Capitol, with Cook saying "it's key that people be held accountable for it."

Following the clip, Gayle King of CBS noted that the interview with Cook was not specifically arranged to address the current controversy over Parler and other repercussions, and that it was previously scheduled as part of a "big announcement that they want to make tomorrow."

We should say, he didn't sit and say "You know, I want to sit and talk to CBS about this." This was an interview that was scheduled because they have a big announcement that they want to announce tomorrow. It is not a new product, we should say, it's not a new product. It's something I think bigger and better than that. So we did an interview, and we did it at the Apple Store here, and he's at his headquarters, and he agreed to answer other questions. But that wasn't the purpose of the interview. What we're going to tell you about tomorrow is very exciting.

No further information on Apple's announcement has been made available.

something......big.......?!

MRFers are all getting new Macs!

[Seems like Apple would be wise to wait to make this kind of announcement until after Jan 20, 2021. The news cycle is being consumed by, well, topics discussed on the 'Other' side.]

Could be
Who knows
There's something due any day
I will know right away
Soon as it shows
It could come cannonballing down from the sky
Flaming its eye
Bright as a rose
Who knows?

In interesting comment about the interview not being about Cook's views on the assault on the Capitol.

I wonder who's responsible for having that comment added.

May it's to be clear Cook didn't show up to espouse a political agenda.

Or maybe Ms, King and others wanted it known that it wasn't about ambushing in Cook, but they did have questions.

Speaking of Kings, Regina King was on a recent episode of the Graham Norton show, to talk about her new movie (directing) One Night in Miami.

It's a fictionalized account of an actual meeting to celebrate Muhammad Ali's (then Cassius Clay) 1964 win over Sonny Liston with Ali, Malcolm X, Sam Cooke and Jim Brown.

A trailer on Norton shows it to be an interesting movie, her first directing effort.

The movie will be available 15 Jan on AMZ Prime.

I love Regina King.

Tim made some VERY pointed comments, ironically via Twitter, about the current administration and the terrorist mob at the capital.

I saw some, and was heartened to see that Twitter could be used for good, as well as evil.

This also urges me to ponder: what would Steve Jobs have done, in Tim's place.

I'm not trying to start a discussion on this, but I did wonder if he'd have done the same as Tim.

Probably nothing publicly. I don't remember him ever weighing in on political or other world events if it wasn't Apple related.

One recent late night I was watching some station showing ancient episodes of Saved by the Bell and Leah Remini was in it. I had no idea she went back that far in the business.
