best price is USPS first class package, but it has to be under 13oz

Socal to LV you can use priority Region A or B flat rate boxes for larger items - not sure if your local PO will have those in stock. I order them from the USPS store (free & free shipping)

FedEx Ground was surprisingly competitive over the holidays. Being able to drop off at Walgreens and avoid the zoo at the post office was an extra bonus. Transit time was a heck of a lot faster too.

Look at the price for USPS Priority and get a regular Priority box that fits. You're probably throwing money away on Flat Rate.

I wouldn't try the usps. I have packages that were sent Priority Mail and have taken anywhere from 15 days to Delivery Unknown to arrive. Only use them if you don't care when the hell it arrives.

I've had good success using pirateship.com for discounted USPS priority shipping. Guess it's probably the same as eBay shipping, but without having an eBay sale.

That looks great, but I find myself looking for the 'catch'. Perhaps there isn't one. I've been using that Paypay for non-ebay site for a while, but I'm not averse to jumping ship if the postage prices are the same (or better)..

USPS is taking an absolute eternity to get packages delivered! I'm talking multiple weeks for things that should only take days.

So if the arrival date matters, avoid USPS.
