are there only two places to look for cars on the web?

I'm looking for a used car.
I've been to Cars.com and autotrader.com - cars.com seems to aggregate newspaper classifieds, for what that is worth these days.

there are also a couple of local classified weekly rags that i can buy, but is that pretty much it? even fleabay seems pretty bereft of listings (people must have wised up). CL is the only other alternative I have not mentioned and I'm using that, too.

Hurts like a bastid...

Google [base.google.com]
eBay [ebaymotors.com]
Craigslist [www.craigslist.org]
Buy/Sell [www.us.buysell.com]
AutoRV if you're in the midwest [www.auto-rv.com]

Though after my six months of searching, I found my car in the local classifieds.

It looks like Recycler.com just searches Cars.com.

I forgot to mention the free mags in the grocery stores and gas stations here in the midwest too. They must be everywhere because I recall picking up a couple in Texas or Arkansas this past summer.

Use Craigslist, but view it through [denver.listpic.com]

Then use the min/max fields to make your search more accurate to what you're looking for.

Hey, one thing I noticed last night while trolling the car dealers... all the US made (I know, debatable) car dealers had tons of US Flags waving from every light pole, whilst BMW, VW, Mazda, Acura had NONE..not ONE. I had just never noticed that before my kids pointed that out last night to me.
