I saw that in high school once. I was goalie, but one of the Dmen had the real kicking leg and I would let him take these kinds of kicks. He scored on a windy day just like this goal.

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks to me like the opposing goalie should of had it.

Carli Lloyd's 2015 World Cup goal against Japan from the midfield line also pretty spectacular

When I first read that, I thought it was going to be a hockey goal. Somehow I think that would have been more impressive, but this was good too.

You would think, but the ball hit the absolute perfect point to bounce.

Similar to that, a guy who briefly played on a men's team I was on had an incredible throw. He scored a few goals directly from throw-ins from the sideline. The throws took the goalie completely unawares because he was looking at the strikers he expected to receive the ball, not at the guy throwing the ball. Of course after once or twice in a game the gig was up and the goalie was expecting it.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan
