FedEx just delivered a new M1 MacBook Air I ordered for my wife. It's replacing a 2012 Mac Mini and she is very excited to have the new machine.

Ordered it on 29 Dec 2020. Delivery was expected between 2-9 Feb, so it was a week early.

It will be nice to have a newer Mac in the house.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

I'll be upgrading in a few weeks, I just want to ensure there are no tax return surprises.

The next few months are going to be expensive. My MBP keyboard is going out so looking at a MBA M1. My old SE battery is shot, trying to decide between a 2020 SE (@$90) or a 12 mini (@$380). The big drawing card for the mini is simply size.

The big ticket item coming up though is a new Heat Pump for the house. That can be pushed off a bit but still a $5k-$6k bill coming due.

Nice. We couldn't find any docks that fit our needs/budget at OWC, ended up with an excellent Anker one.
