How to lock down the app bar

My in-laws keep deleting the firefox icon out of the app launcher bar on their MacBook Pro. Is there a way to lock it down so they can't do that?

Ask them politely not to do that? And if that doesn’t work, encasing their MBP in cement should do the trick.

Parental controls can prevent changes to the Dock.

I've used the free Dock Locker for years for keeping my Dock icons from being inadvertently dragged out of the Dock. Now has a 64-bit version. It's an icon you put in the dock - you can easily change it to have the dock Locked or Unlocked by clicking on it for its menu. I did notice you have to quit Dock Locker (in the dock-but it still is active) and then click on it again to bring up the Password and Lock/Unlock toggle. It can be password protected, but I just use it toggled to "Lock" and don't bother to password protect it. LyleH
