Blizzard Warnings in CA and Out West!

Other than what we read in hal's post, anyone getting the six feet of snow? Fill those reservoirs! Wax those skis!

Reminds me of way back in '95 when we were doing a shoot in Napa Valley and it rained every day for a month. Russian River got up over it's banks and some windows at our hotel in Santa Rosa blew out. The good thing was that if we couldn't work, well, what else do you do in Napa and Sonoma...

A throwback image to celebrate Autumn.

We're at a lower elevation and the drier side of Truckee. The snow on the table and ski chair is since 4pm yesterday, or about 14 hours worth. We're at 40" for the storm.

We aren’t getting the big snows in the Tetons, but lots of wind.

Judging by the webcam, about a foot and a half on my place near Crater Lake.

you think that brings the seasonal total up to normal... or even beyond? It was a very slow start to the snow season.

The number I heard today was that this storm brought us from 36% of normal to somewhere around 47% of normal...so we are not there yet. I honestly don't expect we will get to normal this year, at least in the Sierra.

I looked at some of the snotel sites . Anywhere from 36%. to 84% median snorter equivalent . Also must say the Ones for the PNW are easier to use and find what you are looking for .

snotel

Didn't find this kind for Cali .
