Acoustic Guitar Bag Recomendations

My wife needs a decent Acoustic Guitar Bag for her Gibson Squier Guitar. I believe this is what I purchased for her about two years ago.

It needs to be a soft case, padded and decent looking. The guitar was only around $100 when I bought it and does sound great but obviously it's not a $1000 acoustic guitar. However when she finished a couple of guitar classes and takes some lessons she might want to get a better guitar later. So, obviously she can use the case for a longtime.

Anyone know of any decent bags they can recommend? Know of a good price online?

Thanks!

Bill

i have a gigbag from the Colorado Case Company (sorry, don't have the url handy). it's probably more than you need to spend at this point. i just wanted to say that not all guitars are the same size and shape and any case you buy now may not fit what you purchase in the future so that element may not be as critical as you think.

Go to a store and look at their Counter Catalog. Pick one out - not too cheap, not too expensive - and off them 30% off retail. They will probably order it for you.

Check Rondo Music [www.rondomusic.net]

Their DB-600MF Acoustic Bag is $29.99
It's nylon with 20mm padding and includes shoulder straps for back-pack carry.

Nice folks to deal with too!

I have had a reunion blues gig bag for over 20 years and after quite a bit of gigging and traveling, it is just as solid as the first day I got it. They are not cheap and aren't the foam type but they last and were the choice for most pro session musicians back in the 80's. They make leather and canvas. There's probably a lot of good cheaper stuff now and it might be overkill for that instrument but they sure are nice:

Besides Reunion Blues (pricey but worth it), you should also check out Blue Heron and Ritter.

Taylor gig bags are very nice, though as you might expect a tad pricey at $84.00.
