A package was "delivered" to a FedEx destination facility in my county on Saturday. It was supposed to be delivered to ME on Saturday. It never came. Nor did it come Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. The only thing tracking shows is that "No scheduled delivery date available at this time." So what is going on? Well I finally called and asked exactly that.

First guyed a somewhat tenuous grasp of the English language and a horrible echo. He promised he would figure out what was going on at the facility and have them get back to me...within 24 hours.

15 minutes later, second guys calls me. Clearly speaks English. Woohoo! He promised he would figure out what was going on at the facility and have them get back to me. What the actual @#$%&???

So two guys from FedEx are unable tell me where/why my package is AT FedEx. I mean. Give me the @#$%& address and I will DRIVE there! Jesus Christ how @#$%& hard is this?

This is a new fedex thing... if you aren't there to receive your package, they drop it at a partner drop-off location. For me, it's a seedy little neighborhood store with drug dealing all around - if I'm ever instructed to go there to pick up a package I will tell them never mind and cancel the order. Every biz I deal with promises to DELIVER packages - not get them nearby and have me do the rest of the work.

Anyhoo... this looks like that situation except the driver forgot to pretend that he knocked on your door and instead just went right to, 'well he's not there - I'll just drop it off nearby'.

Translation: We don't have a clue as to where your package is and will promise you we will find out (nah, not really) and we really don't care.

My local Fedex fired the guy in charge awhile back. Totally screwed everything up for awhile. No real explanation on why he was fired. The drivers did everything they could to keep things moving.

The cs with these companies is demonstrably horrible, and purposefully so.
