Casual racism is ugly and unconscionable in any form — but especially when disguised as entertainment for children.

FWIW they put warnings on lots of stuff. Even the old cartoons. I’m good with it. Times change.

Absolutely.

Itemizing the basis of your statement might get this pulled, so I won't.

But in short order, I came to the same conclusion and was going to post as much.

I haven't seen the show, so I don't know if the complaint is founded or not.

Certainly Disney's 'explanation' as to why they'll continue to air the show reads more like a poor excuse to make their purchase price back, and maybe then some.

I loved The Muppet Show but haven't seen this iteration and suppose the Swedish Chef could be a problem, along with possible comments from S&W.

I'll be clearing that site's cookies from my browser.

OMG! What are they going to do about movies like Taken, True Lies, etc.? I feel sure nearly every piece of content out there has something in it might be seen as offensive by someone. Guess we'll be seeing warnings on nearly everything, as long as it's just a warning and not total censorship I can live with that.

I'd start squirreling away physical copies of any movies you like...
We'll have great bonfires of "offensive material" within a few years to "protect society", for "our own good".

Sounds like a plan. I already have 5 of some of the largest storage containers in my basement full of DVD's and Blu-rays most of which are ripped and on a HD so I watch them on my AppleTV. Might need to start jumping on some of these huge DVD collections I see on the Marketplace on Facebook dirt cheap. I mean even shows like Downton Abbey, one of my favorites, could fall into something like this, some might be offended by the way the Service employees were treated. I started to say something else but don't want this to get thrown to the other side.

Sounds like some people need to grow a pair to me. Where does it stop?

The answer to that would DEFINITELY push it to the other side.

I can totally understand feeling like offensiveness is just random complaint, when all context is ignored. Sure beats the heck out of having to think, question, and consider, don’t it?

Indeed.

Knee jerk reactions without further thought explains why so many people made bad, important decisions.

At best, I will insult you with offensive remarks couched as jokes, and you will take it and like it. If not, you have no sense of humor or are too thin skinned.

As though anybody actually likes being on the receiving end.

Again, it's not 'correction', just labeling.
