Moved to T-Mobile Unlimited T-T-D, 'all included' = $20 month

When I finally dropped Sprint a couple years ago, I hadn't even notice the extra fees they started tacking on (I haven't handled payment in a while.) I was also frustrated that I was on a plan where I would get subsidized phones, but when I went to get new phones they said they were now only discounted for new customers. I was like "So what have I been paying this extra money for?"

Glad I dumped them.

So, you get unlimited talk, text, and data for $20 a month all in?

That sounds pretty good. We’ve been on an old grandfathered TM family plan for unlimited talk + text, plus 4 GB of shared (? I think) data for 6 of us for $120, plus fees.

4 GB for us used to be as good as unlimited, but recently, we’ve been running into that limit (which then throttles us down).

TM plan for $20? Is that price part of a multi phone package? I'm on prepaid TM - for $30 a month and would love to drop the price.

I have 8 lines ( big family) for $240. That’s the magenta plan for unlimited data

Where/how did you get this $20 plan?

All I ever really needed to know, I learned from watching Star Trek.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know how you got a $20/month all-in deal.

Yes.
Single line.
I was on "Sprint Unlimited Kickstart" plan, a promo in June 2018.
Details on USA Today Report 6/07/18

Where/how did you get this $20 plan?
Nothing. T-Mobile is using this $20 Unlimited Plan to transition old
Sprint Kickstart customers to their service.
Before they drop CDMA service, they'll provide a new GSM SIM for my phone.
