Nice quality audio and video of a killer performance of Baba O' Reilly. Ox's bass pounding right along with Moon. Daltrey in great form and Pete bein' Pete. Enjoy.

great film of a great band at the peak insanity.
just too bad the mix blows so much.
surprised Pete never went back for a remix, just for the film.
Pretty sure it was 16 track at Shepperton. Moonie is too far back.
Especially considering them is bottomless tubs with individual mics on every one.

One of the best aspects of that song has always been how the entire kit is often used on every beat in ways usually reserved for pauses in rock music, but not here. It just's so insistent and keeps driving on.

The video clip was surely reconstituted from the 2003 DVD, so no, not "HD" despite the 1080p resolution here.

It's a remarkable achievement how this movie was made, by a huge fan with no real movie making experience. Among other things, he wanted a performance of Who Are You. There weren't any, so they went into a studio for the purposes of lip syncing it but what resulted wasn't possible ... thankfully they also got the audio, and Moon's last studio performance: [www.youtube.com]

Singing falsetto backup vocals while smoking a cigarette encapsulates The Who in one little photo:

Good stuff! My idols along with Hendrix when I was in HS. I always thought Moonie's drums were poorly recorded and mixed in most of their records. And you'd be surprised how quickly blood can deaden the sound of your guitar strings.

Heh. I always thought Moonie’s drums were chaotic and random, though played enthusiastically.

I agree but I always felt they could have been louder and bigger sounding.
