A few days ago, I got the notification at my POB that I should be getting a stimulus check for $1400 within seven days.

Checking the old POB today, nada.

Disappointed and now paranoid, I checked the online Where's My Dough link that $tevie posted several days ago.

Lo and behold!

The site said I should see it deposited today, in my checking account!

Yippee!

Oh, wait...

I never gave the gubmint my bank account info, preferring to get the check in the mail.

Oh well, I can run but I can't hide, at least if I want to help the economy.

And I do want to help the economy!

They know everything and are watching and listening. Big Brother is already here and everyone took it upon themselves to help. My parents went to visit their friends the other day (Husband is dying)... My mom went outside and asked her friend (the wife) something and her friend immediately said "shhhh, they are always listening"... Turns out that they have Comcast security cameras and their son who is helping (as well as the dying husband) listen in (spy) on what the neighbors are saying and doing. They also listen to what people are saying when they are near their cameras (even if it's friends or family). Our privacy is pretty much nonexistant.

As one who worked in Fed. govt. (military & civvy), your info
is collected by so many methods it'll makes your head spin.
And, since the 1970's it has actually become easier to accomplish
(wire-taps & mail intercepts aren't even used now).

Wow, that's probably the most clear, common sense suggestion I've ever heard regarding any kind of tax reform.

Receiving a Govt 1099 submitted for your approval would be such great option.

But that's a lot like trying to tell a man that MANual transmissions are going to be discontinued in all vehicles.

Even where not needed, 'I drive a stick' (with appropriate Man-entandre) is supposedly another punch in the Man Card.
