Recommend a good, easy-to-use, cheap vector-drawing app

Hi everyone,

I know this has been discussed here a few times before, but maybe worth revisiting. I'm looking for something easy-to-use, without a steep learning curve, to do simple diagrams. I really do miss MacDraw/ClarisDraw/Appleworks, these were pretty intuitive and simple to use. Obviously, I don't want to spend a bundle on this.

Also -- based on another thread posted here about it, I started to try using LibreOffice, and it will do what I want and fairly easily, and of course the price tag is right, but... it seems to be incredibly crashy and unstable. NOT helpful when you're trying to do detailed work and then you lose half of what you'd just done.

[affinity.serif.com] Currently 50% off, so $25.

I can't speak to the learning curve, however.

Yep, I saw and tried it, but didn't find it particularly intuitive ... will try it again though.

I notice that the Affinity app can run on iOS. It seems it would be pretty hard to do much drawing on an iPad, at least w/o a stylus.

I have used "Graphic" and found it to be pretty simple.

Inkscape is free. Full featured. Supported. Easy to learn no.
Vector based programs are not easy to learn. Not intuitive like photoshop. But they are well
Worth learning. [creativenerds.co.uk]

I find Pages.app an adequate replacement for AppleWorks.

Was gonna suggest an Affinity app, but couldn't remember if they offer a drawing program.

I just went through this.

I started with Easy Draw (free). Then went with Inkscape. It worked better for my needs.
I then went to Affinity Designer for the 50% off. This will handle my needs.
I couldn't seam to find something simple/low featured, so I decided to go the paid route with a program that seams to have more/better support.

Followup, if anyone's curious ... I've used it before, but forgotten how easy it is to use: Intaglio.
