The Time is Right For Dancing In The Street

Our daughter sent us a series of photos the other day of our two grandsons, two and three quarters and almost one. This is one of them.

Some here might understand my topic title.

That is a truly bizarre music video.

Legendary Cornell concerts, a snowstorm upstate in May. I think I saw Steve G. tripping around, if not in form then in spirit. A Norcal take on Motown. Use headphones, turn it up.

Well done. They had most of the clothes already but as Arthur needed a new coat they thought they might as well get that one to complete.

The video is a joke, the song and video were recorded and shot all in one day with them both having fun and trying to outdo each other and of course it was all for charity.

Definitely prefer Martha & the Vandellas version; that's rocking.

Sorry, missed this one. I also missed the Watkins Glen show (working on WXXY/WGMF radio in town but sidelined by appendicitis).

However, I did manage to catch The Dead and The Allman brothers playing together with Love at the Fillmore in February 1970.
They were pretty good. (The Joshua Light Show helped a lot, too)

At the time of the Cornell concert I was working for an insipid rock station on Long Island. Wish I was in Ithaca instead.
