The fanfilms are True to the legacy of Star Trek.

Say what you will about the Alex Peters of Axanar. I say his stuff was so much better than the then upcoming STD, CBS laid the hammer down.

He's working with other fanfilmakers as well


with the Avalon Universe filmmakers. They have an entertaining take as well.

The Ares and Artemis models are lovely. They've incorporated JJ-Trek style ships as well.

I really enjoyed "Prelude to Axanar".

"Star Trek Continues" is just spectacular. They get pretty much everything right -- especially the lighting, which really pulls you into the TOS era of the storytelling.
