Just ordered 2 new MacBook Air machines, one for the wife and one for the boy. So tomorrow Apple should be releasing the updated MacBook Air machine with M2 chip sets. You’re welcome.

Youre safe. Hopefully, if you ordered base models, you got in on the $899 deals.
We have been on an Apple spree since late 2020 -- 2 M1 MBAs, a M1 mini, 3 iPhone 12s and one 12 mini. We are good until the new large iMac comes out... need one -- then done for years. We were rocking 2012 13" MBPs, plus 2010, 2009 and 2008 iMacs...
out to pasture...
Nice pasture!

I hear ya.
white 2006 20" isnt worth the upgrade $.
2007 24" has a SSD inside, but OS limited
Two 2008 20", stock, with extra ram, but not worth the upgrade $.
2010 27" still runs quick -- SSD inside, 32 GB ram... but power supply is going, gets really hot on upper left... only a matter of time.
2011 21.5" prob has the most potential... but have to unglue the screen for SSD... so meh. But can run SSD external via USB 3.
Not shown are a 15" iLamp with USB 2, and a 2012 13" MBP. MBP has SSD and 12 GB ram.. but whole case is kinda off. screen doesn't shut flush and coming unglued. Great otherwise.
I just don't know what good they are to most peeps, since too old to run any modern OS. I would need to plug in and reformat all the drives... too much work. Prob just e waste them all...

I get all that... but Im not doing the work. =)
I wouldn't mind installing Catalina on the 2010 27"... but as soon as M1X iMacs are announced, my current 2014" iMac will become my second workstation...

Perhaps I should have also suggested that some local computer user groups will do that for you.

I used to be in those groups... they have all but disappeared. Ken SP runs the local one. Maybe I will shoot him a PM.
