Dog Urine Odor Remover

We have a small den where there is a strange odor, I suspect it is a urine stain from the previous owner's dog. If we use that room daily it is almost not noticeable, but if we leave the door closed for a few days, then when you enter you can small it.

I was told an enzyme based cleaner would get rid of this. What do you recommend?

There is no visible stain, so I guess I need to spray the entire perimeter of the room. I assume the dog would pee close to a wall and not in the middle of the floor, right?

So many choices on Amazon, do I try them until I find one that works, or can you recommend one? it's hard wood floor, no carpet.

Have it professionally cleaned. They can do a 10x better job than any spray. They can soak down through the carpet pad and suck it all up. Make sure they are using a motor driven unit housed in their truck, not a crappy rug doctor type thing.

Dealt with this for years, with cats.

Nature's Miracle is the best. It leaves a strong "fake perfume" scent for a few days to a week, which then fades. Haven't found anything better. Really drench it!

For non-scented, this is the next best-not as good, but somewhat effective; just ordered a gallon of it because my wife reacts to the other's smell:

Used to like Nature's Miracle, but really disliked the new fragrance. Switched to Furry Freshness and have been very happy with it.

I hope this is a one time application, I want to eliminate the odor for ever, not mask it for a while. So even if the Nature's Miracle stinks, I don't care. It will eventually go away.

Please tell me that I do not have to treat this on a periodc basis, do I???

I think the people who have to retreat have pets who have new accidents.
Should be a one and done, if it works. Fingers crossed. The enzyme products are the best, so fingers crossed.
My daughter used some enzyme thing when her cat messed up, and it worked, but I don’t recall the exact one.

Aged dog pee or cat pee is nasty concentrated stuff.

even though NM usually works for us, I had the same issue at my old house.

Hate to say this, I replaced the section of floor.
