Seeing things like this, make me wonder if Apple has really dropped the ball on the updates:

Not having any problems with my work phone, personal phone or watch with any of the recent updates.

It's not uncommon to experience performance issues on an iPhone for a day or so after an update. Sometimes a reboot is required to address the issue.

Zero issues.

I even installed WatchOS 7.4.1 with no pairing and unpairing this time....

I usually check the forum twice a day. In the last few days, my Dual-Core 2.9GHz mid-2012, 13" MBP has been acting "funky". MalwareBytes finds NO problems. EtreCheck 12 DOESN"T want to open. I have a 750GB HD that is half empty, 16GB RAM and I'm running macOS Catalina 10.15.7. I've been getting NUMEROUS "freezes" on Safari (Version 14.1 (15611.1.21.161.5, 15611). Right now, I'm using Firefox 88.01. My iPhone 12ProMax is running iOS 14.4.2 and, I've been getting all sorts of "weirdness" on it too. It seems like every "update" screws thing up even more. angry villagers smiley

14.5.1 is an important step towards privacy and reclaiming computing power from rogue sources.
It was a given the emergence of news about doomsday when updating.
I say BS…

I've gone to 14.5.1 on all my gear and haven't noticed any downside.

If I'm honest, it's possible I might not notice any throttling should it occur.

But I'm happy.
