First time I've installed a screen protector that I can't get a 'bubble' to
smooth out and vanish.
Is it even possible to pull a protector due to a bubble and successfully
reapply it or will it be even more screwed up? (iPhone Xr)

I've done so with some protectors and been successful. On others, it didn't work so well. Try lifting a corner or short edge and using a credit card or similar to press the protector down. This should eliminate bubbles. The question is whether or not one of the corners will fully seat.

I had a bubble form on my XR with two different protectors. I was wondering if it was a problem withe the screen. It was a big bubble at the bottom center. It wasn’t there when installed but slowly showed up on its own.

I apply mine in clean room and vacuum chambers, never a spec of dust or air bubble.

That's where it is. I'm going to do the 'corner lift' & retry. If that fails,
time to get a replacement (not like it's big $$, just a pain).
