Add Rider To Homeowners?

I'd like to add water and sewer line coverage to my homeowners but American Family does not yet offer it. Has anyone ever sourced a insurance rider for something like this? Is it weird because it would be two different companies?

I think it's fairly common to have a separate policy for the lines outside of your building.

When I was paying way too much with State Farm I think they included it. Does anyone know a company in the midwest to buy the rider from?

Which state?

It might be worth it to go with a whole new policy. Price it out.

I have all my vehicles and home with AMFam. I am not in the mood to switch.

Most utility companies offer a third party insurance. Not sure how it rates with riders. Ask your insurance agent ?

As you might imagine asking my agent was the first thing I did. That's why I came here.

There’s a company that pays for access to our city’s utilities customers and bombs us with junk mail. I can’t remember the name right now, but it exists. If I happen to get a mailing in the next day or two I’ll post back. It does exist, though. They offer us water line coverage. Not sure if they do sewer or not. I’m in Iowa.

Ok, I just did a quick google search and this came up: [www.amfam.com]. Not sure what the issue with your agent is. Or, are you in Minnesota? In any case, google says there are a number of companies offering coverage.
