those seem cool.

I have a 4 foot fluorescent on the garage ceiling... want to replace it... but dunno with what yet.

My office is in the garage... would like more natural light.

6500k color temperature is fairly close to daylight.

I use two 80w lights of that type in my garage. They light it up much better than the lights I had in there before. I also sent one to family overseas for their back patio.

That's a little too cool blue-white for daylight, for me.

That's approximately the color temp I use in the kitchen, which works well.

Everywhere else, I like it warmer.

I've got two large closets where those would work well.

Oh, geeze...

I bought a 10 pack of inexpensive LED 4 ft strips for the garage. They daisy chain together and plug in. The clips that hold them to the ceiling are a bit cheap. They put out a ton of light. Used a couple of them in the attic to replace the incandescent light that was there. Ran them along the underside of the ridge.

Warning- I have some like this, you will likely get a lot more light. So why the warning?

It will show you that you are in - a garage.

Thanks for posting, I was thinking of getting a couple more.

PS For those that do not like the industrial look (my first such bright LED was that), I purchased these that have a more polished appearance. They cost a bit more but have been excellent.

I have a couple of these in my garage:

105 actual watts producing 4500 lumens (each).

I thought that the efficiency of fluorescents was similar to LEDs, but looks like they’ve stepped up their game.
