It is necessary and at least the option is there.

But I like pretty junk. I like graphics and fonts and all those frills of communication. It POs me royally that we have to behave like we’re in the world of Blade Runner, and run applications almost in command line interface to avoid a plethora of ah*les from trying to take advantage.

Way too many people that suck out there.
