You can do this in Notes app.

Agree.
Click-hold the Notes.app icon and select accordingly.
You can then organize by folders.
With iCloud properly set, it will be backed up according to your preferences (when on WiFi, etc.), and available from your other devices.
- Click the scan, then the share icon (rectangle w/ arrow on top) to share (airdrop, messages, mail), save to books.app or files.app, copy, mark up, or print (added aft r’s sensible observation).

I like tiny scanner.
The problem with doing it in notes, for me, was sending it as an email attachment.

Bazooka,

Apparently, Adobe makes the best iOS scanning app and it's a freebie:

Personally, I'm not a fan of scanning with an iPhone. Never comes out as good as when I use a desktop scanner nor is it nearly as easy to work with the resulting file.

Just tried Notes. That works pretty good. I'll try the Adobe one too.

I don't need it for lots of stuff. That kind of thing, I'd do at work on the flatbed. But I scan so little at home I got rid of the flatbed. And the AiO printer we have sucks. So it's WAY easier to do it from the phone.

I'll check out the Adobe Scan, too.
I am always looking for a better scanner app.

I have used Notes and it's okay.

But my preference is Scanner Pro.

I'm actually amazed at how well the iPhone works as a scanner. Most recently while scanning a couple of checks for online deposit, I was purposely slack. I had a granite counter background and poor lighting with shadows. The scan images on the bank app came out perfect without a hiccup.

TurboScan. I’ve tried multiple others (admittedly not recently) and ended up deleting them all except this one.

Adobe scan often works when sending legal documents. If I wanted my own copy I'd probably find something better.

Scanner Pro will automatically detect edges and straighten the document. It also has OCR which was high on my list. It can export to Dropbox and others.

Ukulele music I couldn't find anywhere else.
I’ve added some recipes and spiritual thoughts as well.
