We are getting together with my daughter for lunch and a hike in a shaded area, LOL. I chose to drive 2+ hours north to her as it going to be mid 80's and humid today, so northern VT S/B a couple degrees cooler.

I’m bringing a fancy homemade meal to my dad's. Socca and paella. His wife is away, so he sounded really excited. He’s near the beach, so ditto, it should be cooler there. Hopefully we get to walk.

took a bike ride with the kids to a park we haven't been to before, and then I plan to grill and have some beers in the evening. Recovering from a 16 hour fight, 13 hour jet lag on Friday.

Kids took me out for Father's Day Observed yesterday and today I went sailing on the San Francisco Bay with friends. Both events were totally awesome! Me driving...

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan
