Starting out doesn't need to be a big step, just take that step.

Just dive right in!

Sorry I have not posted Fit Club. Things have been nutty around here. This week was mostly walking and one upper body lift. I intend to get back on the fitness wagon now that things aren't so hectic.

4.4 mi/day. My numbers are going up now that I'm back onsite some of the time. Weight numbers not going down anymore but I guess as long as they don't go back up again...

We acquired a rescue Pug a few weeks ago. Our yard is not quite closed in so I walk her several times a day. Especially first thing in the morning she is really eager to go; we take off on a sprint as fast as I can go (which is not nearly as fast as she would like) for 30 or 40 yards when I have to back down to a jog for some number of yards and then a fast walk. Depending on the heat, the morning run/walk can be half a mile or a full mile. With several other walks during the day and just before bed, I am getting a LOT of steps in and my watch activity monitor is very happy.

Of course, my watch gives me credit for petting her, so what does IT know?

Wife walks at a very slow pace so when she joins us, it is steps with no cardio value, but steps none the less.

Getting in gym time once and usually twice a week. Weight is pretty steady although my waist is a little larger than I would like (at least when i factor in the vanity factor).

Don C, I gave up on the vanity factor decades ago. Now I just try not to pop the buttons on my shirts.

Last week, 16.2 miles of cardio walking. This week, zero so far. The prior weeks were pretty slim because of the heat.

Sounds like you are using the same diet I am.
