Flies!

Seems I have an infestation in my shed. Can I bomb it with something safely? No nasty chemicals if possible. Can't even get in there to clean out what is causing this.

Just open the shed door and air it out. The flies will dissipate enough for you to clean up the maggot infested raccoon carcass. Good luck!

Yeah, open the door and see if a lot of them just leave, then you can mask and glove up and see what is going on.

You've had the shed door open since June and it's still infested with flies? Ohman,,, whatever it is that died in there was big and juicy.

The doors don't allow for much light, as it's under cover of some big trees, so not a lot of light to disperse anything.

That would be the kind of advice I am seeking. I'll look into it!

Maybe put a bucket of ammonia in there? IIRC, they don't like it. (Be careful you/pets don't breathe the fumes.)

I also find that spraying them with Windex knocks them right out of the sky and kills the little bastages. You could fill a garden sprayer with Windex and let 'em have it! Maybe not as toxic as some other stuff.

If you're looking to keep the flies away, I've found that certain essential oils are VERY good at keeping insects away... particularly lemon eucalyptus, lemongrass, and thyme. All have a very, very nice scent.

Fly paper strips. They’ll kill flies and give the interior a rustic look.
