Just curious. My alarm goes off at 5, but I'm usually awake when it does. And I get up. My wife OTOH is a chronic snoozer. I took a pic of her phone this AM, but thats not all of them. Her alarm goes off at 5 as well. Plus a couple more times between 5 and 6, when I snapped the pic. I just don't like it. Sometimes I'll sleep in on the weekends but my auto-wakeup mostly ruins that.

that's why you customize the alarm for week days and weekends.

Not auto-wakeup on my phone. Auto-wakeup in my head. Unfortunately, there's no customizing that.

Always. The Small dogs wanting to go out is the best wake up alarm though.

Once I'm awake, I'm awake. I may lie in bed and watch TV, but there's no way I'll be able go back to sleep.

The cats wake me early when it's time to eat; usually around dawn. Sometimes I stay up, sometimes I go back to bed for a bit. Depends on how late I stayed up the night before. I work from home so I really don't use an alarm.

Bazooka,

Nope. Have an alarm clock but not for its alarm. Haven't used it for an alarm in as long as I can remember. 'course, I can hit snooze but since I don't have the alarm set and/or activated, it wouldn't do anything anyway. smiling smiley

Never used an alarm, I just tell myself when to wakeup and it happens. My wife on the other hand has her alarm set for an hour before she needs to get up - and she will be another 30 minutes before actually getting up.

Sometimes, but it's something I've learned from my wife.

When I travel (or she does), I hardly ever hit the snooze button.

This is more on point. I say the cats wake me up; she wakes me up because of the cats. She'll also wake me to let me know when it's getting beyond when I want to be up.

I can't! The alarm clock I use is a travel model. All I can do is hit the top button to turn off.

I'm pretty much retired though. If I want to sleep in I just mash the button and wake up when I'm ready.

Retired, don't need no stinkin' alarm!

Most often, this.

I've I have informal plans, I use my internal alarm clock.

But in my advance years, i've found it sometimes doesn't go off, so if it's an important thing such as a bike ride, especially meeting some buddies for a ride, I set my alarm – just in case.

It's usually not needed, but I don't like to take a chance.

So no snooze.

Once I'm awake, I'm awake. I may lie in bed and watch TV, but there's no way I'll be able go back to sleep.

This is my state for the most part.

So with no alarm needed or time constraint, when waking up I'll often just close my eyes and see if I go back to sleep.

Sometimes I do, if I've been up late, at that's always a pleasant surprise.

I don't leave much slack in my alarm. When it goes off, I need to start moving pretty soon after. In the last 15 years I haven't woken up close enough to the time of my SO to pay attention to their morning habits.

I voted no because I don't actually have an alarm clock. (except internally, I guess)

Never. I set the alarm to go off when I need to get up.

My wife and youngest daughter will hit the snooze at least 4 times.

Just get up.

I only set an alarm if I have to get up unusually early (e.g. at the start of a trip, etc.). Otherwise, if you need an alarm it means you aren't going to bed early enough. Its unhealthy to break into REM sleep with an alarm.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

At first glance I thought that said Snore.

Retired but usually up at 6-6:30 and then try catch a couple hours in my recliner with my heating pad. Hit the bed at 12-1am. Our cats normally wake me up.

Up at the time I got up before I retired some 12 years ago. 4:00am. But now I get to take a nap in the afternoon.

I hate Snooze! Why ruin the last 10 minutes or more of sleep?!?

I set my alarm for when I need to be awake, and wake up then.
