Scam (?) email from Apple TV+ has my last 4 CC numbers

What do you think?

We’ve never signed up for Apple TV+ (other than a free trial after buying something).

We don’t believe Apple would put a clickable link in an email to “fix the problem”.

…but whoever sent this has our last 4 of one of our CC’s.

Haven’t clicked the link yet. What should I do? Call Apple?

Did you hover over that Fix button to see the URL that it would take you too?
Did you look at the email headers to see where it was sent from?

Was your name correct in the blurred out "Dear xxxx" part? That's usually a clue that it's possibly legit, along with the correct card number.

So, more clues might tell you if it's real or fake. Logging into your account independently and looking at billing info may help confirm.

Scammers could have your last 4 but maybe not the rest. Don't trust it. Contact Apple directly if you think there is really an issue to be resolved.

Independent of the email, sign onto your Apple account. You should see a tab for your subscriptions, as Apple TV+ is a subscription service. If there are issues, it should show up there.

Good luck,

I think it is a well done scam.
Do not click the link.
As others have said, if you have an account, but it sounds like you do not, log into the account, on your own, and see what's going on.
You could call/Chat/email Apple just to let them know of the scam.
They may want you to forward the email to them.

Huh. Actually, I think it was legit - they gave us a year of AppleTV when she got her iPhone a year ago, and it tried to renew for money.

Really, Apple? Click here to fix credit card info?
