An NBA head coach punished his team because a player ruined the group chat with an Android phone

A head basketball coach is not too fond of Android usage on his team.

Jason Kidd, the coach of the Dallas Mavericks, reportedly punished the Milwaukee Bucks team in 2014 because one player had an android when he was the Bucks coach, according to a section in the upcoming book Giannis: The Improbable Rise of an NBA MVP written byMirin Fader.

According to Insider, Fader wrote that Kidd, who was the Bucks coach from 2014 to 2018, was a tough coach who had an unusual coaching approach that penalized the entire team for a single player’s error.

If a player made a mistake during practice, Kidd would make every other player run sprints while the player who made the error had to watch from the sidelines.

I gotta few relatives with Android phones and you can't send the a photo along with text at the same time, it'll be undeliverable. You have to split the text and photo up for some stupid reason. The only reason they have them is they're too tight to buy an iPhone. Yet they seem to have to get a new Android about every 2 years, they buy the cheapest thing available. I'm coming up on 5 years with my iPhone 7, just updated to the latest iOS whatever yesterday and no issues, knock on wood.

And yeah I don't care for the Green bubbles either, LOL!

We just had this discussion among our extended family (in a joking, good natured way). The iPhone-using young-uns tell me that if you use an iPhone effect with a message sent to a group, and even one of the recipients is an Android user, no one gets to see the effect. Instead you get like the message, and then a description of the effect, like…

Went to a great concert last night
<laser beam effect>

This has led some intolerant family members to (good naturedly) complain Okay, who is the damn Android user?

I’m not sufficiently tech-savvy anymore to be able to confirm this…

Wifey has an iPhone SE (old model). I have a new Moto One 5G (Android v11). Both on Verizonwireless. We exchange photos with text all the time.

I have no issues at all sending a pic or 3 along with text with a single transmission. My partner has an iPhone and they come through just fine. dunno smiley
