It appears someone decided to mess with the seller and obviously knew this was just a box.
This is the description now:
Buyer did not pay so I am relisting this. BIDS FROM ACCOUNTS WITH 0 FEEDBACK WILL BE CANCELLED.
This has just been sitting in my closet so I figured someone else might have use for it. Box is in great condition. This listing is for the box only, no camera or camera parts are included. All internal cardboard inserts are intact and undamaged.

I have an old Apple RGB monitor box and a Apple II box. Wonder if those are worth anything.

Hmm... Get an old camera box, paint the inside black, seal the seams, drill an extremely small hole in one end with a needle.
FOR SALE - New Unused Camera
It would be legit as the box is now a pinhole camera.

With try #2, he really seems to think he will pull this off and someone will actually pay $2k+ for a box and not be upset.

Now we know this was intentional. It is silly thinking on his part that he will successfully pull off this sale and keep any money. He is going to keep getting crank bids and a waste of his time.

No, clearly he's not.
He's a crook of some level.
Scammer, grifter, whatever.
He's made a construct with the hopes of bilking some careless buyer, no doubt with the defense of 'They should have been more careful', while being wholly clueless of the irony.
A quick look at some of the crap he's sold tells me he's been crafting his seller rating just to try to pull of a ripoff.
I saw 'no camera listed' but I didn't see 'NO CAMERA INCLUDED' in the listing.
Did I miss that?
ebay is probably more concerned about getting a piece of the sale than slapping down a ne'er do well.
What's the link to complain to ebay, not that they'll get right on it, but I wouldn't mind dropping a dime.
