bought this item (FPGA programmer) on eBay on Sun, Aug 15, 8:47 PM. Got shipping confirmation on Sun, Aug 15, 9:23 PM (about 35 min later). Impressive. That was already 8/16 AM in China. Took them 1 Day to actually ship the package. Fine. It's been making progress though customs and international shipping until it got in US, then idle for 3 days. In a couple of hours it will be 4 days since last activity.

There's very little incentive for the USPS to deliver foreign packages in a timely fashion. They probably get "pennies on the dollar" to do so. So, they probably sit until there's space on the truck to move them. Or they just sit because whatever, maybe it'll stop people from ordering as much overseas?

I had a package sit for so long the tracking # stopped working (i.e. it was 2-3 months). Then, out of the blue, it showed up one day. That was at the height of the pandemic last year, though.
