went to make coffee this am. Grinder won't turn on.
Dummy takes it apart.
Long story short, GFI failed.
On further check the breaker panel has moisture from Ida and at least one bad breaker, the GFI.

If there was water in the circuit sounds more like the GFI "worked".

it did. now I have to change out a breaker.
Fortunately, this box has a Master.

I see that the seal around the service entrance to the house is cracked and missing bits.
From the looks of it, I'd say that's caulk or is it duct seal or 6 of one?

dry the box out with a fan (after leaving it open). And definitely seal up the service entrance.

Depending on the size of the gaps, I'd try Flex Seal. It will stick to wet surfaces too.

Is this the wire that goes thru a grommet? If so, there is electrical putty that is typically used. Not sure if flex seal will stick to it.

the FlexSealers say the liquid stuff definitely, as compared to any of the other versions.

Someone suggested the water might be coming from the weatherhead of the meter connect.
From where I stand (30 ft above my head) the weatherhead looks good.

this is the top of the meter. PSEG just put a new dig head on it.
I'd think (silly me) that they would at least look at the weatherhead and meter seal.
