I’ve seen it. It was pretty good. Scarily close to what we are living today, only with a more dangerous virus. It got everything right.

Good article

Yes, saw it years ago. The filmmaker used actual State of Minnesota health department workers in non-speaking roles.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

I watched "Contagion" when it first came out and I enjoyed it. I see I can view it now on HULU for free (with some commercials).

I agree that "Contagion" got most things right which I appreciate. With COVID 19 still rampant, I'm surprised I have'nt seen "Contagion" on network television yet.

Correction; I was able to watch it on HULU without commercial interruption!

TV movies are escapist entertainment, movies that hit too close to home go straight to cable/streaming.

I saw it years ago and didn't think much of it. Watched again about a month into the pandemic and was pretty amazed at how much it got right. The virus was far more severe, and it spread much more quickly, but the similarities were eerie.

I might have to watch again with a fresh set of eyes.

I've seen it about 6 times but only watched once since Covid started. I usually watch it when I'm not feeling good and it makes me feel better, I don't know why. I bought a copy at a yard sale for about a dollar, ripped it and put it on iTunes to access it with my Apple TV like most of my movies.

I'd never even heard of this movie until this thread.

I have watched:

- The Stand

- The Cassandra Crossing

- The Andromeda Strain

- 12 Monkeys

Excellent soundtrack by Cliff Martinez too, IMHO. Really adds to the intensity and danger.
