Wh odo we like for web hosting and e-mail

I am done with GoDaddy, can't keep my e-mail up for more than a few hours and tech support is pretty clueless.

Who do we like?

A designer friend suggested I switch to Pair.com. She is moving as many of her clients off GoDaddy as she is also fed up with the glitches and tech support know how.

Been with Pair for a year now I think. no problem. just switched another site to them last month.

Mr645,

Any chance you can separate your email from your web host? If so, I'd move your email to Fastmail and find a different solution for web hosting. Fastmail is rock solid reliable when it comes to email.

I should be able to separate. I don't even use hosting for that domain right now. Just e-mail

Pair -- at least in the past -- was notoriously the worst host ever, with frequent downtime. it was a meme for a long while. Hope they are better now...

The biggest red flag are hosts owned by EIG. Consistently poor ratings.

Another vote for fastmail. Nary a problem in over ten years.

I like hostpc for hosting, though my site has low traffic.

I have now been with Hostgator for 14 years, and even after the acquisition by EIG, I find them very good. Uptime is fantastic. Support (rarely needed) has actually been better since EIG took over.

I currently have the Silver Reseller plan and host about 7 different sites for 5 clients. I would offer you service but I am trying to get out of the business, not add more clients. smiling smiley

If you're just using it that way, all you need is fastmail

You can connect your domain to fastmail and have all the email come and go from there

Heck, you can even host your site with fastmail too, although without a lot of bells and whistles

How much money are you willing to throw at it?

Rackspace is the premiere email host, but it'll cost you a bit more than a cPanel host.

We've had our non-profit's site at Hostrocket for years. Pretty good support and reliability.

My site is on Squarespace

Is that a viable option for you?
