Add drop shadow back to screenshots in Big Sur?

Years ago, I turned off the drop shadow effect that was defaulted in any screenshot (either Command-Shift-4, or Command-Shift-4 hold Control key to put directly to Clipboard), via some obscure Terminal command.

Years later, I want to try turning it back. Seems from some articles I'm reading today that it may not be a feature that I can turn back on. I tried various Terminal commands but none gave back the drop shadow.

Couple questions:
1. Does the drop shadow appear normally for those of you running Big Sur?
2. Anyone know a way to turn it off/on?

This doesn't really answer question, but it does appear that it should be on by default in Big Sur. I happened to watch this video a few days ago, and Jeff Benjamin shows the terminal command to *DISABLE* the drop shadow.

You can probably find how to turn it back on with a google search.

Edited to say that I'm aware you most likely googled this already. But there must be some way to reverse the process if if it should be on by default.

I use TinkerTool to adjust such settings. It still shows a toggle for that option for Big Sur: [www.bresink.com]

I'd seen those two commands are the Interwebs, and had tried them (both turning it true and false), but they still didn't add back the shadow. These articles refer to Mojave and Catalina, so maybe something changed in Big Sur.

I'd also tried toggling that feature in TinkerTool, but even with a restart, still no drop shadow. I may have just mucked up something by turning it off all those years, and the only fix is to do a clean install.

Ultimately, it's not a big deal, so no worries.
