Over 3500 years you can blend a lot of stuff into one holiday. It occurs at fall harvest, remembers the temporary shelters wandering after Exodus and was the time to bring the first fruits of the harvest to the Temple in Jerusalem and lasts for 8 days!
(plus after the last day, you get to rewind the Torah scrolls for another year)

Manhattan streets are full of "sukkot-inspired" restaurant shacks due to covid. They're actually pretty nice to eat in. Drivers hate them, but whatever. I hope they become permanent. There are too many cars in Manhattan anyway.
