Ali-Express?

I'm having a heck of a time finding a bracket locally. It doesn't have to be exactly like the one pictured below (I'd be fine with holes instead of long slots), but the dimensions are right. The only place online i can find it reasonably cheap is Ali-Express. I don't think I've ever ordered from them, and the 2 month shipping is a pain, but what do you think? Any reason not to try them? Here's the bracket, in case you know of any better sources.

Thanks, folks.

ztirffritz, I'm guessing that getting one custom made and shipped overnight would be a bit more than the 3 bucks and change it would cost me from Ali-Express.

MikeF, your second link may prove to be the best option if i want it a little quicker, but I only need one of them, not 4.

I don't mind potentially throwing away $3 on an experiment that may not work. Less happy about wasting $12.

IF said part actually has to ship from China it could well take more than two months simply due to the massive backlog of container ships waiting to dock and be unloaded. sad smiley

Perhaps something like this from HD or lowes , or your neighborhood hardware store:
corner bracket

If only it were that easy. That's the concept, but I need one short side and one long side. And I've already tried bending on of those to no avail.

Why not just buy a long one and cut one side to the length you need?

I may well end up doing that. For some reason I thought it would be a simpler thing to find.

Cutting it seems much easier than ordering from China and waiting 2 months...

Does it have to be strong? If not I could print one for you. PLA. Not sure how strong it would be though.

Wurm,

I've ordered via Aliexpress in the past. No issues. Wouldn't buy a big ticket item this way, though. Small items like a plastic wrap or foil dispenser, sure. A bracket? Maybe. Depends on what I'm using the bracket for.

Thanks for the offer, space-time, but yes it has to be pretty strong.

Good to know about Ali-Express, Robert. I still may give them a try if only to test them out.

However Cary seems to have opened my eyes to the easiest solution. But rather than cut to size, I ended up simply bending a corner bracket enough to accomplish what I think I need to do. I guess I'll find out this weekend when I try to use it smiling smiley

Thanks again to everyone for your ideas.
