.....from $250,000 to $150,000, last November......

....Right now, to enjoy the benefits of being a Chase Private Client, you need to maintain an average daily balance of $250,000 or more. This can be in any combination of qualifying personal or business deposits and investments.

Chase will lower the threshold for becoming Chase Private Client by $100,000, to $150,000 in balances. The change is set to happen in November 2020. Additionally, existing Chase Private Clients that can’t maintain the $150,000 requirement will be charged $35/month.....

No thanks. Banks usually don’t offer good investment advise.

I did not know that.
They didn’t seem to make a big deal about it. We bank with Chase and they are always sending up emails and flyers about everything.

....you are assigned private banker, but don't necessary have to do what they say.....they allow roll-over of no-load funds.....T-Rowe Price, Scudder, some Vanguard (you may have to convert Vanguard to rollover IRA since some funds for institutions are 'specialized' just for the company) and other mutual funds......those balances are included in minimum requirements (it isn't just cash)......

......401(k) and 403(b) balances are not included in minimum.....

about a decade ago I decided to give them a shot. Entry was even less at that point. In 3 yrs, with JPM PB guidance, the $ made a total of 10%, after the fees it generated.

At the same time, I self guided within my 2 union 401ks.
Unions, like most work related 401ks, have lousy choices.
In the exact same time period, I made 7% per year in the 401k's.

But, I did get a hearty handclasp from my PB at JPM.
Much like W.C. Fields in the Bank Dick.

JPM can gobble my knob.

If there are spelling issues, please pardon, Owen the cat is standing or sleeping on my keyboard.
