2nd hand mini buying

found a tidy 2018 MM i7 64G/512G for considerably less than refurb.
I've asked for proof of ownership and test.
Dumb question but, without my IP, the MAC address is useless, correct?
And there should be no other security issues?
Is there anything else I should check?

And should stepping it back from BS to Catalina (or Mohave if need be) be any issue with apps installed already?

Hope its a great deal.... assuming you are going intel for some sort of legacy apps?

Im missing the second part... are you saying it has apps currently installed... and is currently running BS. And you want to downgrade to Catalina?

AFAIK, not without a reformat on the drive.

Darn the Luck ! ! !
Yea, Pro Tools isn't quite ready (I'm told) for BS, though I might try it just to see.
There are a couple decent apps installed, Office, Logic Pro X and a couple others.
It''s about 15% under the refurb price.

You could always just boot externally.

that article has to do with selling.
I'm buying.
I did find an unofficial database of stolen Macs.

But who knows if it's real.
