Yeah, I like those commercials. When we gotten new vehicles over the last few years they came with Serius and we found The Bridge station that plays the soft rock that we really like from our earlier years.

Interestingly, we went to Asheville this weekend and decided to stop at Harrah's casino in Cherokee to waste $25 on the slots. Got there at 11am on Thursday and the place was far from filled but it was largely older people spending their SS/pensions/savings. They were playing music that was very much like The Bridge and played at a volume that wasn't overbearing. I enjoyed the music for a couple of hours while my dear wife spent a small part of our kid's inheritance.

That's not old. Being old is when those infomercials have music that you consider to be "new music" that only kids listen to.

I totally agree with this. Top 40 corporate radio was for the most part horrible. There was much better material available via a small number of FM stations and mostly small record producers.

There is a new local station I have been listening to a lot that calls itself "easy favorites" or something.

It plays lots of stuff I haven't heard in a long time. Of course since my mind is like a steel trap , I can't remember most of what they play, but Chicago, Whitney Houston, Toto, Toni Braxton and Maroon 5 comes to mind. Unfortunately, I guess you have to take the bad with the good and I've also heard some Michael Bolton.
