Using iPhone SE for Video: Newbie Question
Posted by: steveroberts

Friends,

I'm increasingly shooting video with my original series iPhone SE.

When framing the shot in photo mode, everything looks fine and well positioned. But when I switch to video, the screen display seems to crop or zoom in.

Is this normal behavior (video and photo screen of the same shot to have a different crop)?

Thanks for any insights you can provide.

I also have an original SE and it does the same thing.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

It has to be related to the resolution’s capability in each mode (12mp in photo, 8mp on video)…
Frame in video mode if that’s the final format.
My iPad does it too.
