They should work on making their vehicles more reliable and safer, IMHO.

The old logo was fine.

I'm not crazy about either, but of the two I like the earlier version better.

Because cars all look the same nowadays, just spell out the name if you want to be advertising on your cars.

Also, the first thing I do when buying from a dealer is remove the dealer’s name. A buddy bought a car and specified that the dealer not put its name on the car. They told him it’s standard policy. He said they could only do it if they knocked another hundred dollars off the price and the dealer decided they would rather have the cash.

Only $100? For free advertising over the lifetime of the car? Your friend comes cheap - I would have asked that $5000 be knocked off.

And you would have gotten the same response from the dealer. (This was several decades ago so that hundred has inflated.)

I didn’t realize there was a Reddit Kia Soul Club. Lol
I like driving my Soul! a lot. It has the bigger wheels so it sits up slightly higher, which I like.

Of course I would have - which is why he would have removed the sticker.

Took my dealer's plastic nameplate off in about five minutes. Thankfully it was just stuck on and it was July.

Which would be my point as well.

I haven't noted any dealers in the West Coast doing this, but there are probably some.

But I've seen it on a tonne of out of state cars.

Or maybe several tonnes, lol.

When I first saw it years back, some (if not all?) were plastic logos mounted via two drilled holes with clips, so most customers left them in place.

Over the years, I've seen a few decals and figured they could be cleanly removed without much fuss, but I don't know if that was/is the case.

But yes, I'd what a huge discount to advertise for them.

I've accepted their branded license plate frames, and immediately replaced them with polished black frames on all my vehicles.

One time, at a Honda dealership, the service department replaced said frame with their branded frame.

I said 'Put it back', and had to go a little ballistic, but they did.

The new KIA logo looks good to me.

Yes, I can see it as KN, but KIA as well, especially knowing it was their logo before seeing it.

So I'll be ok.

I can see this:

either way, at will.

One less oval is a welcome change.

Seeing other car makers do this makes me wonder why Chevy doesn't change their symbol thing. It is so ugly, it can make a whole car look bad. I think the Kia change looks fine. It was fine either way. Kias are good cars. They've been good for at least 20yrs.

You don’t see them plastering it all over the Corvette, so there must be a reason.

Chevy replacing the bowtie? That would be like Ford switching their blue oval logo. You don't mess with what works. (I like the bowtie)
