That's a pretty damn good lineup.

Agree!

While those are all good picks individually, I’m not sure how Elvis would fit in with the rest of the group.

Agreed. I’d go with John Lennon or George Harrison.

I don't see Hendrix playing nice in a group. He would give a fantastic solo but for a group, I'd give the nod to either Clapton or Jimmy Page.

I'd also take Buddy Holly in place of Presley.

I would upgrade Billy Preston, but I don’t know who with. I would go with Jimmy Page on guitar. Imagine if you had horns and backup singers.

He was in several groups and didn't necessarily "play nice", but in fairness neither group I'm aware of played anything like his preferred style of music and he was just a "hired hand" for them.

Good choices both. I'd be tempted to go for dual leads and throw Duane Allman in there too. He and Clapton got on like a house afire, and I'd love to hear him and Clapton or Page trade licks back and forth in a duo/solo.

I'd also take Buddy Holly in place of Presley.

Buddy Holly was by far the better overall musician and songwriter, but I've got to go with Elvis for voice alone.
